Ah, we do love a bit of Rushton here at Flecking Records. So when we started getting message after message asking us what he was up to, we felt it was our job to let you know. Here is what we got out of him…

So Steve, how are you?
Very very peachy thank you Fleckys.

The solo stuff is great, is this what you’re going to be concentrating on now?
This is what I’ve been concentrating on recently as I’m getting good reactions from it, and writing and performing is something I’ve always loved doing and I have neglected it for a while so need to get back on that train again.

Any plans to get a band together and play a few gigs?
Maybe, but not right this minute. I just want to get a great song out first.

With James moving to America are SOD still officially together?
Ask James!

Do you miss the good old days of SOD?
I really do, best days of my life.

Are you still in touch with everyone?
I am, but mainly Chris and James.

Did you follow what happened with Danny Hall and Defo?
I heard about it but didn’t check them out.

What do you think of the Busted court case?
It’s none of my business!

What are the big plans for the new year?
Big plans are to continue what I love doing. Making music and performing.

Do you have a message for your fans?
Yes, thank you so so so much for all your support from the early days of Mr Cheerful to right now! It’s you all that give me the inspiration to keep writing and performing as you enjoy it so much (nearly as much as me!).
