McPhew!

After all those adverts and special deals to buy 3 CD’s for £4, it seems as though McFly’s best plans have all gone down the pan. The lads were beaten to number 1 by Dizzee Rascal and Calvin Harris, who can now say they’ve been number 1 for 3 weeks. I’m sorry McFly, you must be pretty peeved off. I know I would be. It seemed like a never ending promotional roller coaster for McFly who didn’t actually stop plugging their new single. Adverts were all over the TV (someone said they saw it 10 times already this morning!), deals were made and McFly made sure that their 3 different singles were all registered with The Official UK Charts Company. However that wasn’t enough to stop Dizzee Rascal outselling McFly by a few thousand.

The thing that is confusing us slightly is the fact The Mail On Sunday are branding it a number one hit single all over the shop!

this was on the front of the paper. (see right)

A bold prediction? A mistake? A misleading statement? Who knows.

How about 4 singles for a fiver next time McFly? I could go for that!
