Sod any of the shoes you’ve seen on Sex And The City, we want a pair of ruby slippers, just like in The Wizard Of Oz.

Well you’ll never guess what, to celebrate the films 70th anniversary Christian Louboutin, Manolo Blahnik and Betsey Johnson are just 3 of the 19 designers who are going to be designing a pair of the infamous ruby slippers using Swarovski crystals.

To raise money for the Elizabeth Glaser Paediatric AIDS Foundation, the shoes will be showcased at New York’s Saks, before heading to Art Basel, Miami Beach.

According to The New York Times two pairs of each design are to be auctioned off.

Rumours suggest Betsey Johnson’s design is going to be more like a high heel than a slipper while Jimmy Choos are thought to be designing red snakeskin pumps.

We can’t wait, we just wish we could have a pair of each!
