Brand to be a Sparrow!

Be still your beating hearts! You are certainly not misreading the title! After the whole “Let’s phone Andrew Sachs and tell him how I got it on with his Granddaughter” saga, Russell gone and done a few clever things.

For a start he left the BBC. He’s attitude was that he didn’t really need them anyway, and that LA was better. Couldn’t be more correct Brand.

Now he’s only gone and landed himself in the fourth Pirates of The Caribbean movie! Apparently he’s been approached (that was appropriate timing…) and he’s up for the roleof Jonathan who is the younger brother of Captain Jack Sparrow.

Russell is definitely not losing out in this either. This is all part of a $10 million deal with Disney, according to The Sun today.

“There couldn’t be a role more perfectly suited,” a Hollywood source spills to reporters.

“There’s a lot of Jack Sparrow in his mannerisms and behavior. Depp’s accent isn’t a million miles away from Russell’s either. Russell joining the Sparrows alongside Johnny and Keith Richards as their dad will complete the ultimate on-screen pirate family.”

Sorry, what did you just say? Russell Brand and Johnny Depp in the same film? I think I need a lie down…
