Lock up your grandads or at the very least disable their voicemail, Russell Brand is returning to the radio.

Brand is to broadcast a show on Talksport radio just six months after he quit the BBC over the Andrew Sachs prank calls.

The show will be a two-hour football special on Sunday evening with Oasis guitarist Noel Gallagher.

The station said the show promises “a heavy dose of cutting-edge comedy” and “the odd eye-opening anecdote”.

The programme, which will air at 21:00 could become a regular fixture if it proves a hit with listeners.
