The X Factor’s John and Edward Grimes have revealed that Cheryl Cole has offered to go out with them.

The twins are convinced that the Girls Aloud star likes them more than she lets on.

‘Cheryl has promised us a date so we will be cashing in on that!,’ John tells the Daily Star Sunday. ‘She is our perfect woman.

‘She has a smile that melts your heart and I think she has a soft spot for us, despite what she says on the show.’

John and Edward have their own ideas about why they have stayed in the competition so long.

‘There is a reason why we are getting votes every week,’ says Edward. ‘It has to be sex appeal and charm!
