Jamie threatens to quit X Factor…
It has been reported in The Sun today that Jamie Archer is threatening to quit X Factor after his relationship with mentor Simon Cowell hit a new low.
Jamie fears he is being stitched up by judges!
According to The Sun James was banned from going on tour with Bon Jovi. Yes, Jon Bon Jovi invited Jamie on tour with him after they both performed on last week’s show.
However, producers won’t allow it, claiming that Jamie, is under contract to X Factor.
The Sun also reported that Jamie fell out with Simon Cowell for forcing him to change his song at the last minute two weeks ago.
Last night a friend revealed the Bon Jovi ban could have been the final straw as Jamie is convinced he will not win X Factor and the rockers’ tour is his best chance of fame.
The pal said: “Jamie’s fed up with the competition and how Simon is treating him.
“He was on the verge of quitting at the weekend because he was so angry at being given rubbish songs and some judges’ comments. He hasn’t forgiven Simon for changing his song.
“Their relationship is not great. There were already serious cracks but now it’s more like the Grand Canyon.”
The friend went on: “Jon Bon Jovi came up to him after the Sunday show, told him he liked him and offered him a support act role on the tour.
Jamie was thrilled but his contract means he is tied to X Factor and wouldn’t be able to do it. He was absolutely gutted and it made for a tense week between him and Simon.
“He feels Simon gives him rubbish songs to make people vote for Olly Murs and Danyl Johnson. He calmed down and decided to stay as he realised it’s incredible exposure.”
But Simon is set to heap further embarrassment on Jamie tonight by making him sing Unchained Melody, the classic Righteous Brothers track once covered by Simon’s old act Robson and Jerome.
Jamie is said to be worried after missing several days’ practice with a virus.
A pal said: “Not only is he singing a song out of his comfort zone, his voice has been really croaky.”
We can’t wait for the show tonight!
