Justin Timberlake set for Boo Boo

Justin Timberlake is set to star in a film version of old cartoon favourite Yogi Bear! The ‘SexyBack’ singer will star along side Anna Faris and Dan Akroyd in the remake of the hit show.

The part live action, part animated big-screen adaptation is due to begin filming in New Zealand next month, with Akroyd set to provide the voice for Yogi Bear and Justin as sidekick Boo Boo!!
The pair are said to be joining Scary Movie actress Anna, who plays the part of a documentary filmmaker who becomes entangled with the blundering bears through their penchant for stealing picnic baskets in Jellystone Park.

Yogi Bear was a hit cartoon for Scooby Doo makers Hanna-Barbera in the 1960s. Yogi first appeared as a guest on the Huckleberry Hound Show in 1959 and was based on Art Carney’s Ed Norton character in American sitcom the Honeymooners.
