Girls Aloud Cheryl Cole was the female celebrity that single people would most like to cuddle up to on February 14, with nine per cent of the vote she beat the likes of Jennifer Aniston, Keira Knightley, Angelina Jolie and Megan Fox to reign over the top five.

Scarlett Johansson, Katy Perry and Kate Moss were also named as favourite celebrity Valentine’s Day dates, as were Colin Farrell, Orlando Bloom, Russell Brand and Simon Cowell.
