The Wombles in talks to reform at Glastonbury
Believe it or not. Your eyes are not deceiving you. That’s right, the fictional furry TV icons are planning to make their comeback at Glastonbury festival this summer.
The band who were famous in the 1970s (they had a string of top 10 hits!) have decided that Glastonbury would be the perfect place to wow the crowds and make their comeback.
The position they are after is on the Pyramid Stage and rumour has it this will be on the Sunday afternoon. In previous years this slot has been filled by performances from Rolf Harris, Status Quo and Shirley Bassey.
As The Sun reported, a source mentioned that the band are “certainly keen to be there”.
It is Glastonbury’s 40th anniversary after all…
