James Cameron is raising the Titanic
James Cameron has decided to bringing back his hit film Titanic to cinemas but this time it will be in 3D!
Cameron, who won the best director Academy Award for Titanic, plans to raise the Oscar-winning film in spring 2012 to mark the 100th anniversary of the sailing of the ship.
He does however warn his audience in advance that the effects will not be as spectacular as Avatar: “It’s never going to look as good as if you shot it in 3D. But think of it as a sort of 2.8D”.
The film originally won 11 Oscars, 76 various awards & achieved 48 nominations also launched the careers of Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet.
As much as we love the thought of Leo in 3D we’re not convinced we want to sink in 3D.
As if Titanic wasn’t enough Cameron is also considering getting Avatar out for a second run as well. Someone should tell him it’s still on it’s original run down at our local cinema!
Despite already making billions worldwide the director believes there is still more cash to be made!! “It’s kind of gotten stomped out (of cinemas) because of Alice in Wonderland,” he said.
