Christina Aguilera plans spectacular tour
Christina Aguilera likes to tour with “circus acrobats”.
The ‘Not Myself Tonight’ singer is looking forward to hitting the road again to showcase new album ‘Bionic’ but she admits she doesn’t travel lightly and is planning another spectacular stage set.
The blonde artist – whose ‘Back to Basics Tour’ featured cabaret and a three-ring circus – said: “I can’t live without drama. On my last tour I had a whole entourage of circus acrobats. I need big hair, big make-up – and where ever I can have fun I’m there!”
Christina has also revealed her idols are Madonna, who she “adores”, and singer-and-actress Cher – who she stars with in upcoming movie ‘Burlesque’.
Speaking about Cher, Christina told the German edition of GQ magazine: “Who could be a bigger role model than her? She’s seen and done everything. When we were shooting the film I soaked up every line she said and every move she made like a sponge. She’s my mentor and friend.”
When recently describing her hotly-anticipated LP, the 29-year-old pop star promised her fans there going to experience a “futuristic” sound when it comes out in June.
She said: “It’s kind of exploring my wild side again, it’s really a fun, fun record. Really futuristic. I was inspired by a lot of electronic music, electronic artists, so you’ll hear all of those elements.”
