Is Miley Cyrus trying a little too hard to be a grown-up?

Now that Hannah Montana is coming to an end, we know that Miley is trying to ditch her squeaky clean, teen queen image, but is she trying a little too hard?

Miley, who is only 17-years-old, has come out with a raunchy new song, complete with raunchy new video (featuring leotards, pole dancing on cage bars and getting up close and personal with girls) and a saucy album cover to match.

On her new album cover, wearing black leather, pouting her lips and hooking her thumb on her trousers to show off her tummy, Miley looks nothing like Hannah Montana, or a 17-year-old girl.

Parents are worried that Miley might be a bad role model for their kids, but Miley disagrees: “My job isn’t to tell your kids how to act or how not to act because I’m still figuring that out for myself,”.

Miley is proud of her new video, and reckons it’s all part of growing up.

“There’s nothing in the video for me that I wouldn’t be proud for my family to see. I think they can all watch it,” she explains.

Miley was keen to make her new video unique, but music lovers all over the net are calling the video a carbon copy of things we’ve previously seen Britney Spears, Lady Gaga and Christina Aguilera do.

Talking about the video, Miley said:“I made a big point to everyone that I didn’t want anyone else to watch a music video and show me and say, ‘This is what I think we should do,’ ”.

Miley’s new album Can’t Be Tamed is out next month.
