MTV Movie Awards get a Hangover
‘The Hangover’ dominates this year’s MTV Movie Awards, with six nominations.
The Todd Phillips-directed comedy – which stars Bradley Cooper and Heather Graham – is nominated in a host of categories, including Best Movie, Best Villain and Best Comedic Performance, and is closely followed by ‘The Twilight Saga: New Moon’ and ‘Avatar’ which both have five nods.
All three films are named in the Best Movie category alongside ‘Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince’ and ‘Alice in Wonderland’.
Sandra Bullock – who this year won an Oscar for her role as interior decorator Leigh Anne Tuohy in ‘The Blind Side’ – leads the pack in the Best Female Performance category, fighting it out against Amanda Seyfried, Kristen Stewart, Zoe Saldana and Emma Watson for the prize.
Robert Pattinson and his ‘Twilight’ co-star – and girlfriend – Kristen have both been nominated in the Global Superstar category.
Kristen is featured twice in the Best Kiss list for her lip locking with Robert in ‘Twilight Saga: New Moon’ and Dakota Fanning in ‘The Runaways’.
Competition in the category comes from Taylor Lautner and Taylor Swift in ‘Valentine’s Day’, Zoe Saldana and Sam Worthington in ‘Avatar’ and Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds in ‘The Proposal’.
This year’s ceremony – which is aired live on June 6 from the Gibson Amphitheater in Universal City – will be presented by comedian Aziz Ansari and see a number of celebrity guest prize givers, including Zac Efron, Russell Brand, Tom Cruise and Jessica Biel.
