Noemie Lenoir’s ‘suicide attempt’
Model Noemie Lenoir was found unconscious after an alleged suicide attempt.
The 30-year-old beauty – who is the face of Marks & Spencer, Next and Gap – was first discovered by her boyfriend, French soccer star Claude Makelele, at their Paris home on Sunday (09.05.10) after reportedly taking a cocktail of drink and drugs.
The former Chelsea player called emergency services, however, she soon woke up and the ambulance was cancelled.
Noemie then left the home and was found unconscious again hours later
by a passer-by on a forest footpath.
A source said: “After coming to, Noemie was in a state of great distress and clearly very ill. She had clearly attempted to harm herself and had fallen unconscious.
“She was rushed to a nearby hospital and treated for the effects of poisoning. It seems that she may have tried to commit suicide as a cry for help. She’s now in a far better condition and recovering.”
A police spokesperson confirmed: “A young woman age 30 was found unconscious in La Celle-Saint-Cloud on Sunday afternoon. She was rushed to hospital for treatment for the effects of an overdose. She is now recovering well.”
Noemie was the face of a recent Marks & Spencer’s advertising campaign alongside fellow models Twiggy and Laura Bailey.
She and Claude have a five-year-old son, Keylan, together.
