Robert Pattinson ‘dreaded proposing’ to Kristen Stewart

Robert Pattinson has admitted that he ‘dreaded’ filming the proposal scene in Twilight.

‘I was dreading the day it was coming,’ Rob told USA Today of the romantic scene with Kristen Stewart.

‘The first time I read the script, I thought, ‘This is impossible.”

Robert Pattinson wasn’t happy with the way Edward Cullen proposed to Bella Swan – played by Kristen Stewart.

‘It’s so earnest,’ he said in the interview.

‘I finally convinced the producers that you can play it with a bit of awareness of not being a fictional character. I’m not trying to be part of a Gothic novel.’

Eclipse hits cinemas this summer.
