Robert Pattinson wanted to be a rapper

Robert Pattinson has revealed that he wanted to be a rapper when he was younger.

Twilight star Robert has always made it clear that music is his first love, but until now he’s kept rather quiet about rapping.

“I used to want to be a rapper when I was, like, 14,” the actor said during an appearance on “The Oprah Winfrey Show” alongside costars Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner.

We’ll bet he’s glad he didn’t take that route now though, because he might not have achieved his Twilight mega-fame.

“It’s a great position to be in because you can walk into a room and everybody’s screaming,” Robert, who plays Edward Cullen in the films, said of his fame.

“It’s not really about you,” he said. “So, it never really goes to your head and you can kind of participate in it. It’s about the fans themselves. A lot of people, they just like doing Twilight-related things.”

The interview is due to air Thursday 13th May.
