McFly’s Danny Jones would rather have the crowd singing
Danny Jones had a chat with Gordon Smart about vuvuzelas, lizzards and posh cars.
On the topic of what Danny, as a musician, thought of Vuvuzela’s he commented he finds it quite bizzare, and how he keeps thinking “he’s getting attacked by a lot of bees”.
Danny says, “It is quite bizarre, you know, then the whistle blows, and you can’t hear anyone cheering. I want everyone singing to be honest. I mean, the atmosphere sounds great, but, I don’t know, it’s a bit too much.”
When asked if Danny gets any vuvuzela’s at McFly gigs, Danny laughed and said, “No, we just get whistles.” And a load of underpants thrown at you, added Gordon.
Danny also spoke about Dougie’s lizzard collection, which he had to give up for girlfriend Frankie Sandford of The Saturdays.
“Dougie, when he’s talking about something he likes, he doesn’t talk much, but when he talks about something he’s into he can go on for hours. Music or lizzards, you never shut him up. It did stink a bit, yeah, but when you went in there, it was quite amazing.”
Danny went on to say that his collection is all about posh cars. “I like my cars, I spend, I waste all my money on cars.”
Moving onto the new album! It was only quickly mentioned, as they weren’t allowed to talk about it. Danny said, “It’s unbelievable, we’re so excited! It’s really hard not to talk about it.”
Rumour has it that the single will be released the 6th of September and that it’s a song co-written by Taio Cruz. We can’t wait!
