Sum 41’s Deryck Whibley attacked in Japan
Sum 41 front man Deryck Whibley has been attacked.
Deryck was attacked in a bar in Japan last night by three unknown men, and was taken to hospital.
The band posted the following statement to Facebook: “It is unfortunate to say, but Deryck Whibley is still in the hospital. He was attacked late last night in Japan. We are waiting for results and we are hoping for the best. Thanks for your support.”
It was only last week that Deryck was diagnosed with a serious case of bronchitis and had to pull out of a few Warped Tour dates.
In happier Sum 41 news, in a recent interview the band told us that they will be giving fans a free song before embarking on a UK/European tour later this year.
