Adam Lambert involved in “violent incident”

Adam Lambert’s afternoon on the beach was ruined by paparazzi, and now he has reportedly been accused of battery.

The incident is said to have taken place in Miami, where Adam was trying to enjoy some time off from his busy schedule.

Despite hiding behind a large hat and sunglasses, the paps didn’t give up snapping photos of the American Idol legend – and that’s when the “violent incident” took place.

Law enforcement sources reportedly told TMZ that the paparazzo seen grappling with Lambert on the beach yesterday walked into a Miami Beach police station around 10:30 PM last night and filed a report accusing the singer of misdemeanor battery.

However, according to the police report obtained by TMZ, the victim claims Adam grabbed his backpack “where the camera was placed” … and “wrestled [the photog] to the ground forcefully.”

Looking at the photographs of the scuffle, you can clearly see the camera in the photographers hand. The police report also noted that the photographer didn’t sustain any “bruises or lacerations.”

Adam took to Twitter to address the issue, saying: “Battery? Nope. I attempted to grab a camera, no punches were thrown and no one was on the ground.”

“It was literally harmless. If embarrassment is a crime – thats all I’m guilty of.”
