Zac Efron wasn’t the cool kid

Zac Efron has spoken about his high school days and he wasn’t half as cool as Troy Bolton.

Zac, 22, owned up to being a geek at school.

“I wasn’t a heartthrob at school, I was a geek,” he admitted.

“I was a gawky 17 year-old. A lanky, skinny, awkward kid.”

Zac also spoke about his friends, and how they keep him grounded.

“My friends treat me the way they always did. If I was arrogant towards them they would kick my ass.”

He certainly isn’t an awkward little teen any more, he looks all-man with that new beard – what do you think of Zac’s facial fuzz?
