Simon Cowell changes his name to Lightning Cowell

Simon Cowell has signed papers to legally change his name to Lightning Cowell.

On tonight’s “The Xtra Factor” hosted by Konnie Huq, the issue was brought up about Simon refusing to call X Factor contestant Storm by his first name.

Fellow judge Cheryl Cole found this rude and said that if Simon changed his name to lightning, that she would call him by that name.

At this point in the show, Konnie whipped out the forms for Simon to change his name by deed poll.

“Can I hold the contract?” Simon asked, and when he was told that he could he agreed to change his name to Lightning Cowell for 24 hours.
