Ashley Greene talks Joe Jonas’ airport knife drama

Ashley Greene has spoken out about boyfriend Joe Jonas, and that embarrassing little episode at the airport.

Twilight actress Ashley spoke to George Lopez on 24th November’s Lopez Tonight — and, of course, he asked her about new boyfriend Joe.

“He’s very sweet,” she gushed, before telling the story about a recent run-in with airport security.

As Joe and Ashley prepared to fly out of Abu Dhabi over the weekend, the 21-year-old Jonas Brother star mistakenly placed some knives in his carry-on luggage.

“We’re going from the Middle East to NYC and JFK so there’s tons of security and screenings,” Ashley told George.

“We got through one surprisingly enough. The second one we got to and they stopped and looked at us with these really stern faces. [They] were like, ‘What’s in your bag?’ … I look at [Joe] and there are these flashbacks of this knife set we got. They were cheese cutting knives. I look at Joe and I’m like, ‘Did you leave the knives in the bag?’ He’s like, ‘Whoopsies.’”

“Whoopsies doesn’t cut it,” she laughed. “We were going to get arrested!”

Joe bought the knives because he loves to cook.

“This is all his fault by the way,” she told the audience. “It was embarrassing.”
