Allison Iraheta speaks volumes with silence (and out-does Katy Perry)

Allison Iraheta is doing her bit for a good cause – and showing off an awesome new hair style at the same time.

Allison posed for the NOH8 Campaign, a photographic silent protest created by celebrity photographer Adam Bouska and partner Jeff Parshley in direct response to the passage of Proposition 8.

“Photos feature subjects with duct tape over their mouths, symbolizing their voices being silenced by Prop 8 and similar legislation around the world, with “NOH8″ painted on one cheek in protest.” the site explains.

Not only does Allison look awesome with her new darker ‘do, but she’s showing Katy Perry how to do rainbow hair correctly at the same time.

Speaking about ditching her trademark red colour, Allison said she was tired seeing “16 chicks at the mall” with the same kinda style.

We like the new one much better! Keep up the good work Allison.
