Taylor Momsen’s parents understand why she dresses like she does.

17-year-old Taylor, famed for her controversial on-stage outfits (read: underwear), must have a very understanding mum and dad.

“My style’s not for everyone — I’m an extremist. But my mom loves fashion, so she gets it,” she said.

And her dad also understands why she dresses so provocatively – it’s all to do with rock ‘n’ roll!

“My dad is the one who introduced me to rock ‘n’ roll, playing me The Beatles and The Who. They know that sex and rock ‘n’ roll go together – you can’t have one without the other.”
