Leighton Meester: “Fame is not what I want”

Fame isn’t the most important thing as far as Leighton Meester is concerned.

The Gossip Girl actress thinks it is more important to have an identity outside of work.

“I don’t listen to compliments too much! I want an identity outside of my work. Fame is not what I want,” the 24-year-old said.

“I don’t want fame. I don’t want that for my life.”

“I want to grow as a person and as an actor and that’s what’s important.”
