Nicki Minaj puts career before love

Nicki Minaj is prioritising her career over her love life.

The singer is worried that too much “romantic love” will distract her.

“I have no romance in my life at all, and it’s not important to me right now,” she said.

“I have love for people who are on my team that I see every day and for my family, that’s what makes me do what I do. I also have love for people that I interact with. If I have too much of the romantic love, I feel like it will distract me. Right now I feel like a robot.”

Lady GaGa is another singer to think along those lines.

“Women have to make decisions and it’s the toughest thing ever. Is it a man or is it a career? I was with a man once who couldn’t understand that other things could come first,” she said.

“I tried not to let them but then I was just unhappy, I had to break away. I know I run the risk of being alone for ever, but it’s the price I’ll have to pay.”

“I’d never let any man come before my career,” she added.

“I guess there’s some fear inside of me which makes me this way. My music is never going to roll over in bed one morning and tell me that it doesn’t love me any more. I have a big problem with rejection.”
