McFly’s Dougie Poynter talks rehab
Dougie Poynter has opened up about his stint in rehab.
The McFly bassist checked himself in, ahead of their UK tour, after a bad break-up with The Saturdays singer Frankie Sandford.
“It’s one of the best things I’ve ever done in my whole life. I’m still me but it’s definitely been very positive.” he 23-year-old told the Daily Mail.
“I don’t know how I’ve changed. I try not to really think too much about it.”
Dougie also spoke about the death threats his ex Frankie has been receiving over Twitter.
“It’s out of my control really. I think anyone receiving death threats is not a good thing.” he said.
“I don’t support anything like that – I don’t wish any bad things upon anybody.”
Talking about life post-rehab, Dougie said: “It’s all been a bit strange. I came out and went straight on tour. The only people I’ve seen have been my mum, my nan and these guys.”
“But everyone on the internet has been cool. That feedback has been awesome.”
