Vanessa Hudgens says Zac Efron kept her straight

Vanessa Hudgens says her High School Musical co-stars kept her straight.

22-year-old Vanessa credits her family, friends and HSM co-stars with helping her grow up in the spotlight.

“A lot of people may get lost in the lights and glamour of it all. It should be about the work first and everything else later,” Vanessa told USA Today.

“I also had (HSM co-stars) to grow with, like Ashley (Tisdale) and Zac. We all went on this journey together and had each other to fall back on. You’ve got to have your friends to keep your head on straight,” she says.

Despite Vanessa recently breaking up with Zac, she says they are still friends.
