Are Ashlee Simpson & Pete Wentz back together?

A report has suggested that Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz might be back together.

The couple, who recently announced their plans to divorce, have  been spotted together. The musicians held hands as they went for a Starbucks with their son.

“Ashlee and Pete held hands, and Pete especially looked very happy,” an onlooker told People. “While waiting for their drinks, Pete had his arm around Ashlee and they definitely looked like a couple again.”

“Ashlee kept smiling and lovingly leaned on Pete.” the onlooker added.

Recently speaking about Ashlee, Pete said in an interview with Ryan Seacrest on KIIS-FM: “I mean, going through something like this isn’t easy,”

“But we’re friends. I mean, the most important thing is to put our son first. It’s like the one time on earth I’m like, ‘Thank God, Charlie Sheen exists!’”

“Ashlee’s been my best friend for five years. She’s the mother of my child. I have nothing but love and respect for her.”
