Oh no they didn’t! Twenty Twenty diss Busted & McFly
Twenty Twenty reckon their music isn’t as “cheesy” as the likes of Busted and McFly.
The three-piece, who have a single called “Love to Life” out this week, branded some songs by the likes of Flecking favourites Busted and McFly as “cheesy”.
Asked if they were concerned about the comparisons, Sam Halliday told Digital Spy: “People have been saying it, and we definitely think we’re different from those bands, but we understand why people would make the comparison.”
Don’t worry though, they’re quite happy to be compared to other pop bands – they just want fans to realise that they’re doing something new.
“We appeal to a similar audience, too, but we think we’ve managed to create our own sound. We’re not as cheesy as some of the music those bands made, though obviously we don’t mind being compared to bands that sold millions of records! In many ways it’s a compliment.”
