People are surprised that Elijah Wood is nice

Elijah Wood says people are surprised to find that he is a nice guy.

The actor says that his success hasn’t changed him.

“You know what’s amazing? And this has happened my entire life, especially after Rings: I meet people and I work with them and they say ‘God, you’re so nice and personable and approachable’ as if it’s a big surprise. But it’s like, ‘What do you expect me to be?” said Wood.

“Just because I’ve been lucky enough to have a certain amount of success and be recognisable, that doesn’t make me any better or different.

“I’m just being a person – the only way I can conceive of being is cool to people. I don’t wanna be a f**king d*ck!”
