Vanessa Hudgens is really paying for her art.

The usually stunning actress has glammed down for a recent film role, and not only has she gained 10lbs but she’s actually had her hair chopped short.

We know that as soon as Nessa is done filming Gimme Shelter she will make her new pixie crop look absolutely gorgeous, but in the mean time… just look at her!

In the flick Vanessa plays a pregnant teenager who gets kicked out by her father.

“Oh man, it’s really intense. I’m still getting used to it,” she told Access Hollywood of her new ‘do. “Honestly, I kind of feel like a soccer mom, but we’re going to let that go. There’s nothing wrong with soccer moms, but I’m only 22!”

“I grabbed the scissors and started cutting my actual hair and then my director decided that he was going to grab the scissors. He grabs a chunk of my hair and just chops it,” she added.
