Robert Pattinson squishes rumours of solo album

Twilight star Robert Pattinson has squished rumours that he is currently recording his first solo album.

It came as no surprise to many excited fans that the Twilight star was recording his first solo album. Rob has always shared his desire to make music and the timing would have been perfect as he has finished filming the final Twilight instalment, Breaking Dawn.

Sadly, it doesn’t appear it was meant to be, as a representative for the star has slammed the rumours telling MTV: “The report is untrue. He is not working on an album right now.”

The rumours were apparently sparked by a ‘source’ close to the star : “Rob has been kicking a few original songs around for a long time, but his schedule didn’t allow it. Now he’s got some weeks to get everything in line before going back to promoting Breaking Dawn.”

It seemed the news was later confirmed by another individual who said: “The album Rob will make will be guitar-based and drums, very organic-sounding, nothing pop. Like stripped-down Ray LaMontagne meets Van Morrison.”

Fingers crossed Rob took note of the excitement and books some studio time in the future.
