Need a Valentine’s Day Date? Serenade that Special Someone live on YouTube on February 9.

On Thursday 9 February, Heineken will host ‘Serenade Live’, a 9-hour YouTube event, during which individuals around the world will get the chance to serenade the object of their heart’s desire live online, hopefully leading to in a string of successful dates. Hosted by the UK’s Gethin Jones, Serenade Live follows the launch of ‘The Serenade’, Heineken’s new Facebook application that allows consumers to send humorous personalised songs inviting potential partners on a date – in 20 languages and 640 variations.

Serenade Live will be broadcast on Heineken’s YouTube channel. The event will feature live, personalised Serenades, written specifically for specially selected Heineken Facebook and Twitter fans, and will be performed by Paul “Kiss” Kissaun and The Serenades, the singer and band who were immortalised in the popular Heineken commercial “The Date.” Each couple will witness their unique Serenade live via Skype, with their reactions being broadcast live to the public.

Serenade Live will also feature exclusive events from around the world and allow viewers to interact live with the Serenade team –Gethin Jones, the presenter, “Kiss” and the band – via Heineken Twitter, Facebook and Youtube.
