Photos: One Direction at Party in the Park
The former X Factor contestants had the 70,000-strong crowd screaming with delight at the beautiful Temple Newsam in Leeds.
Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan, Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson absolutely owned the audience during their performance of One Thing, Up All Night and What Makes You Beautiful.
With Zayn and Louis both being Yorkshire lads, they quickly won over any remaining crowd members by chanting “Yorkshire, Yorkshire, Yorkshire…” and Irish boy Niall did his best Yorkshire accent for the crowd which was very convincing.
They put on an awesome show, covering all ground on the huge PITP stage – they certainly put the most energy into their performance, and even after partying in Leeds until 6am with X Factor judge Tulisa. They looked like they were having just as much fun as the crowd, and the other boys even found time to mess with Harry’s collar while he was singing a solo – ever the professional, he didn’t let it phase him.
The boys were joined on stage not once, but twice, by X Factor host Dermot O’Leary (click here for photos), who ran on-stage, chased by a camera, and ran off again just as fast.
