Jessie-Jessie-Jessie J to perform at Edinburgh Castle
In less than three weeks time, international superstar Jessie J will perform at Edinburgh Castle. The quirky singer, who recently made headlines with her show-stopping performance at the Isle of Concert in Malta, will perform to 8,500 fans on Wednesday, July 17.
Barry Wright, director of Castle Concerts said: “We are delighted to announce that one of the most exciting acts of her generation, Jessie J, will play her only Scottish show this summer at Edinburgh Castle.”
The Price Tag hit-maker, who is also a judge on BBC’s The Voice, has not performed in Scotland since she played the Usher Hall back in October 2011. She is set to perform a oneoff gig at The Hydro in Glasgow in October.
Edinburgh Castle has been praised by fans for being a unique and intimate concert venue. Acts to have previously performed there include Blondie, P!nk, The Proclaimers and Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds. This year, the venue will play host to Jessie J, Runrig and rock icon Paul Weller.
