Roger Taylor says Adam Lambert is “closer to Freddie Mercury” than Paul Rodgers

Queen’s Roger Taylor reckons Adam Lambert is “closer to Freddie Mercury” than Paul Rodgers.

Roger compared Paul and Adam – who have both fronted Queen – and he finds the lovely Mr Lambert to be the closet to the legendary Freddie Mercury.

“Paul has a perfect blues and soul voice, but our songs are big — and dare I say it, theatrical,’ Roger explained.

“Adam fits that more easily.

“Adam is closer to Freddie. Paul was macho, but Adam is a diva. His range is staggering.”
