Review: Il Divo – A Musical Affair
Have you sent your letter to Santa yet? Well it pays to be disorganised, because we’re quickly adding Il Divo’s new album, A Musical Affair, to our lists.
The sexy foursome’s latest offering is a compilation of songs inspired by Broadway shows such as Phantom of the Opera, Carousel and West Side Story, and boasts collaborations with the likes of Barbra Streisand, Kristin Chenoweth, Nicole Scherzinger, Heather Headley and Michael Ball.
The album, which is out now, showcases Il Divo’s signature romantic and emotional interpretation of heartfelt classics like “Some Enchanted Evening” (South Pacific), “Bring Him Home,” (Les Miserables), “Tonight,” (West Side Story), and more.
Il Divo have done a great job at covering these much-loved songs, giving some of them a new lease of life with their own take on the tunes. We also like how they’ve mixed things up by collaborating with popstars as well as musical legends.
Flecking favourites include “Memory” featuring Nicole Scherzinger, Who Wants to Live Forever and Love Changes Everything featuring Michael Ball.
A Musical Affair is out now, and a tour will follow next year. Click here for more details.
