Ever miss your old your old console and the hours you used to pour into your favourite games?
Well fear not because developers have recently taken it upon themselves to bring some of their best loved older games into 2017 and sprinkle some HD love on them. We’ve rounded up the best of the bunch below and if you’ve never played them then trust us you’re missing out. If you have, then get back in there and enjoy them again with crisp new graphics and indulge in the nostalgia.
Cole Phelps, a war hero and rookie cop, moves up the ranks and solves dark cases in 1940s Los Angeles. This amazing story driven crime thriller was already great but in 4K L.A. Noire‘s motion capture shines and we could play this over and over.
Halo: The Master Chief Collection
Master Chief’s entire story is on Xbox One. Featuring a re-mastered Halo 2: Anniversary, along with Halo: Anniversary, Halo 3, Halo 4, Halo Nightfall, and access to the Halo 5 Multiplayer Beta. This classic genre defining shooter has has all of its best bits crammed into one mighty package and for us The Master Chief Collection is a must have for Xbox players.
Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy
Your favourite marsupial, Crash Bandicoot, is back. He’s enhanced, entranced and ready-to-dance with the N. Sane Trilogy game collection. Now you can experience Crash Bandicoot like never-before in Fur-K. We don’t really need to talk about Crash anymore, its just as fun as the originals, enough said.
Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection
A remastered collection of Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, and Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception for PS4, bringing the epic adventures of Nathan Drake to the next generation. The Nathan Drake Collection crams about as much action as possible into one collection, trust us and prepare to binge play this awesome adventure and then probably impulse buy Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End.
Final Fantasy X / X-2 HD Remaster
The Final Fantasy X / X-2 HD Remaster bundle combines two of the best and most ambitious releases in the Final Fantasy catalogue, remastered for a new generation of game platforms with HD graphics and enhanced audio. These games are both highly regarded and are great value for money considering the amount of sheer game there is to play here. Final Fantasy X / X-2 HD is definitely one to watch if you missed it first time around.
Featuring all the content from WipEout HD, Fury and 2048, WipEout Omega Collection packs in 26 reversible circuits, 46 unique ships, a ton of game modes and some new and classic music tracks. The WipEout Omega Collection brings back some real PSone vibes but is still as challenging as the original albeit much smother on the visual front.
Assassin’s Creed: The Ezio Collection
Remastered and stuffed with DLC, Assassin’s Creed: The Ezio Trilogy includes all three of Ezio Auditore da Firenze’s adventures: Assassin’s Creed II , Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood and Assassin’s Creed Revelations. If you’ve played any of the series you know how addictive this game can be and the The Ezio Collection is really making us want to go back to Venice (and stab people).
