McFly & Taio Cruz discuss new sound

McFly have spoken about their new sound and working with Taio Cruz.

The band have been working with a bunch of new producers to achieve a new sound.

Tom Fletcher told MTV: “Taio got it straight away, what we were trying to do. We showed him our idead and we found somewhere to collide in the middle and find somewhere new.”

In a separate interview with MTV, Taio told said of their work together. “I went over to Tom’s house with Dougie and Danny and we had an idea for a record,”

“And we made a track called Save Me and then we did Shine A Light.”

“I listen to a lot of Keane so there’s a Keane influence and a little bit of dance music influence.”

“Essentially it’s still the same pop sound as day one,” Tom told MTV. “We’ve just tried to push ourselves. And it’s been an amazing experience.”
