Blink-182’s Travis Barker has leant his support to an anti alcohol and drug campaign aimed at students.

Teaming up with the One Life One Chance organization, headed by H20 frontman Toby Morse, the 35-year-old drummer hopes to raise awareness and promote healthy lifestyles.

“I love and support what Toby is doing for the youth,” Travis told UsMagazine.com. “It’s good that these kids can see that not every rock star is a drug addict and he is such a positive, all-around role model for them.”

“Most people that come and speak at a school are immediately written off by the kids, but Toby looks like them and they can relate to him,” he said.

“I am getting involved to help any school Toby speaks at that is in need of instruments and/or a music program.”

US Weekly report that Travis will donate several drum kits to a handful of schools in NYC to promote healthy alternatives to self-destructive behavior; his clothing brand, Famous Stars and Straps, is also getting involved with the cause.

Travis lost his friend DJ A.M. to a drug overdose in August last year. He hopes that through the OLOC, kids will see that “they can be drug free and be cool too.”
