Charlie Simpson: The Single, The Tour , The Verdict!

Unless you’ve been hiding under your favourite rock again, you’ll already know that Fightstar front-man Charlie Simpson is currently embarking on an exciting new solo project.

Having just completed his first ever solo tour with fantastic success he’s now gearing up for the release of his second single “Parachutes”(available to pre-order now on iTunes – featuring 5 tracks for £1.79, bargain!) which will be closely followed by his hugely anticipated album “Young Pilgrim” on August 15th.

We were lucky enough to attend a few of the intimate tour dates and all we can say is WOW!
Charlie’s performance of his new material was flawless, it’s clear he has given his all to this project and boy is it paying off. His new material seems an absolutely perfect choice for his swoony voice and fantastic timing for those summer soundtrack moments. We absolutely love his catchy new numbers, especially “Cemetery” and his upcoming single “Parachutes”, which has a fantastic melody. That said, the Flecking favourite has to be “Farmer and his gun” – purely for the enjoyment etched across the singer’s face as he performs it to his adoring crowd.

With the promise of a winter tour (various dates in October and November) due to be announced within the next week or so AND three Summer shows (Wakestock – North Wales, Relentless Boardmasters – Newquay and Harvest At Jimmy’s – Suffolk) still to come this year you really have no excuse not to see the man in action for yourself.
