Jessica Simpson names baby girl Maxwell

Jessica Simpson has given birth.

The singer/actress welcomed a daughter into the world and called her Maxwell – yes we did say daughter, still at least it’s an actual name and not a colour or a fruit.

“Eric and I are elated to announce the birth of our baby girl, Maxwell Drew Johnson,” Jessica wrote on her website. “We are grateful for all the love, support and prayers we have received. This has been the greatest experience of our lives!!”

Apparently Maxwell is daddy Eric Johnson’s middle name – that’s Eric the man.
