Metallic fashionable heels
Strappy metallic heels have become the shoe of the season.
While the ultimate pair are designer Pierre Hardy’s creations, they cost an eye-watering £891, so luckily the high street have made replicas, meaning anyone can join fashion’s hip crowd.
While the heel is always high, the sole can either be flat or have a platform to add inches to help lengthen legs – always the better option if you aren’t blessed with supermodel-like pins.
In order to pull off the look, straps forming a cage effect are the best option, while criss-cross styles make them even more ‘in’.
But the golden rule is, the top of the shoe should finish right across the ankle to give them a bootie effect, while both zip-up backs and buckle fastenings are both hugely trendy.
While the designer shoes have multiple metallic tones of gold, silver and bronze, an all-over shade works just as well.
But the main point to remember is when wearing these strappy heels is to keep the feet looking nice and making sure toenails are always painted otherwise the look loses its class.
Stars to have donned a pair of Pierre Hardy’s shoes in recent weeks include Anna Paquin and Demi Lovato.
