Katherine Heigl stressed by young fashion
They start so young these days – Katherine Heigl admits she feels under pressure to make her baby daughter fashionable.
The stunning actress – who is regularly voted one of the world’s most stylish women – is trying to ensure 18-month-old Naleigh keeps up with the likes of Suri Cruise and Kingston Rossdale in the style stakes but is struggling.
She said: “Dude, I try, but I’m not nailing the baby fashion. It’s intimidating. I get beautiful outfits from Gap and baby Juicy, but I’m not layering it or putting her in Prada flats. It’s really stressing me out.”
Despite Katherine’s efforts, little Nayleigh may struggle to threaten four-year-old Suri’s reputation as the world’s most stylish tot.
It has previously been reported the adorable girl – daughter of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes – had $25,000 a month spent on her clothes because Katie wants her daughter to be the “most fashionable kid in Hollywood”.
A source said: “Dressing Suri in amazing outfits has become Katie’s favourite hobby. She’ll scour the internet and Beverly Hills shops to find items and get inspiration for different looks. “One of Katie’s favourite looks is 80s-inspired – she puts Suri in leggings and long sweatshirts or bright dresses. Suri loves getting involved and choosing things too.”
Kingston’s mother Gwen Stefani has also revealed how her three-year-old son is showing early signs of becoming a style icon himself.
She said: “At that age they like to be in control of everything, so I let him choose. Luckily, everything in his closet is cute so no matter what he picks, he’s gonna look good. For a while he was into costumes. Now he doesn’t even want to wear shoes.”
