Bono’s bad back cause U2 to cancel Glastonbury‎

U2 have had to cancel their headlining slot at the Glastonbury festival today, to allow lead singer Bono to recover after an having an operation on his injured spine.

In a statement today, Bono said he was “heartbroken” at having to cancel their appearance at the festival.

He said: “I’m heartbroken. We really wanted to be there to do something really special – we even wrote a song especially for the Festival.”

Dizzee Rascal is reportedly getting ready to replace the band at the festival.
