911 call suggests Slipknot bassist Paul Gray died of overdose
The hotel employee who discovered the body of Paul Gray told the 911 operator that noticed a hypodermic needle and a bottle of pills in the musician’s hotel room.
TMZ obtained a tape of the 911 call made by a maintenance worker who found the 38-year-old Slipknot bassist’s body at an Iowa hotelĀ on Monday.
TMZ reports that the employee told the operator that he suspected Paul died of a “drug overdose” and that it appeared that Paul had been in the room for “a while.”
He also said that Paul’s mum had called the hotel earlier in the day, because she couldn’t get hold of her son.
Paul’s death is still being investigated, however medical examiners have found no sign of ‘foul play’.
