Dizzee Rascal and James Corden NEED YOU!
Dizzee Rascal and James Corden have got together to record (another) unofficial World Cup anthem, except this one has a difference!!
Simon Cowell is apparently the brains behind the tune which will see the pair rework the Tears For Fears hit Shout.
Dizzee and James recorded their vocals last week and now want YOU (well, England fans) to add their voices to the track. All you need to do to be in with a chance of featuring on the track is call 0800 0494949 (Freephone!!) The line closes at 11pm tomorrow (Friday) so get dialling!
All the royalties from sales of the recording are promised to Great Ormond Street Hospital, in London, so it’s for a great cause as well.
The song offers the usual stuff you can expect from an England World cup track with Dizzee rapping “Come on England, we need to sort it out, put the champs down, pull your finger out, leave the Wags alone, set aside your ego, we’re tired of bragging about 40-odd years ago, we need a victory, quick, fast.”
Of course, the England team have gone to the World Cup without an official anthem this year, although the much anticipated re-recorded version of the Lightning Seeds, Baddiel and Skinner hit Three Lions (also featuring Russell Brand and Robbie Williams) limped to only No 21 in the charts when it was released last month. Lets hope the football team do better than the unofficial singles!
