V Festival are still expecting Cheryl Cole

Cheryl Cole is currently in hospital battling malaria, which she caught on holiday with Derek Hough.

A spokes person for the event said: ‘V Festival has not been informed by Cheryl Cole’s management that she will not be appearing at this year’s festival.’

‘Unless otherwise informed, organisers are expecting her to appear as planned and wish her a speedy recovery,’

The festival takes place 21st-22nd August.
